Gingerbread Cookies Recipe



INGREDIENTS

  • 2 1/2 cups YesYouCan Self Raising Flour

  • 125g butter

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

  • 1/3 cup golden syrup

  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger

  • 1 teaspoon mixed spice

  • 1 egg yolk


DIRECTION

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C

  2. Melt butter, sugar and golden syrup in saucepan over a low heat until all sugar has dissolved.

  3. Place flour and ginger in to large bowl. Whisk egg into cooled butter mix and then pour into YesYouCan Self Raising Flour. Mix until combined.

  4. Place dough on a floured surface and knead until light and smooth. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until cooled.

  5. Roll out dough on floured surface at ½ cm thickness using cutters you can cut gingerbread people. Cook for 8-10 minutes.

  6. After the gluten free gingerbread cookies have cooled, decorate as you please.
